About Landsberg an der Warthe
This website features scans of picture postcards
and archive historic photographs of one medium sized city in
Central Europe. The images date from late 1898 through to 1945.
They form part of an extensive private collection of historic
images of Landsberg an der Warthe, and other towns and villages of
what was Brandenburg / Neumark, Prussia, Germany. As a result of
the border changes agreed at the Potsdam Conference at the end of
the Second World War, Landsberg was renamed Gorzow Wielkopolski and became part of Poland. The city is now part of the
province of Lubuskie in the far west of Poland. This website features just a small
sample of what we have in our archive. When time allows we will
scan and add more images to the Landsberg Warthe website. Should
you share our interest in the history of the area please feel free
to contact us.
